Late last night… I had a craving for some ice cream (or a deliciously similar smoothie). I would normally use frozen bananas in our Yonana maker, but this was kind of an emergency! Because I didn’t have any that were frozen, nor did I have the time wait. In the pictures you might notice that there’s little bubbles, that’s from ice. We left little chunks of ice because the house blender is burning out on us. Gonna get a new one soon, and it still turned out amazing btw!! 🙂
So I made this delicious and simple treat with:
A blender or food processor
1 can Coconut Milk
3-4 ripe Bananas
5 tbsps Raw Honey (or more if you’d like this SWEET)
4-5 cups ice
Cinnamon to taste (optional)
YIELDS: 5-6 servings.
Substitutions — If you’re not against milk or cream (or if you only have nut milk) that will work too! And, of course to make things interesting you can add other fruits or cocoa powder!
Step 1. Toss all of your ingredients in the blender (except the ice).
Step 2. Blend ingredients and begin adding ice 1 -2 cups at a time, until you get the desired consistency.
Step 3. ENJOY!
If you want this to be more ice creamy add more ice and blend like crazy. 🙂 I really enjoyed this with my husband and I hope you guys do, too! 😀
